Wooden Fencing in Oshawa & Durham Region
Acorn Landscaping is now offering wooden fencing installations across Oshawa and Durham Region. After 37 years of building and maintaining outdoor properties in this area, adding fencing was a natural fit — it's one of the most common requests we hear from homeowners who want to complete the look of their yard, add privacy, or define their property properly.
We're offering two materials to start: cedar and pressure-treated lumber. Both are solid choices for Ontario's climate, and both have their strengths depending on your priorities and budget. Here's how they compare.
Cedar is a natural fit for Ontario's climate. It resists moisture and insects without chemical treatment, has a warm, natural look that weathers beautifully, and takes stain or paint exceptionally well. It's the preferred choice for homeowners who want a fence that looks great and holds up for the long term with proper maintenance.
Pressure-treated lumber is the practical, budget-conscious choice. It's chemically treated to resist rot, decay, and insects, and it holds up well through freeze-thaw cycles. It can be left to weather naturally or painted and stained. A solid option when you want a durable fence that gets the job done without the premium price tag of cedar.
Styles We Install
Both materials can be built in a range of styles to suit your property — board-on-board privacy fencing, shadowbox, open picket, and post-and-rail are all options we can discuss. If you have a specific look in mind, bring it to the consultation and we'll let you know what's achievable.
Project Photos Coming Soon
Since we're just launching this service, we don't have our own project photos to share yet. As we complete installations across Durham Region this season, we'll be adding real project photos here. In the meantime, reach out directly — we're happy to talk through what you're looking for and put together a quote.
